Another Duke Rape

Why don't they ever show pics of the girls? It should be required.

j/k, j/k. It is bad to hear. They should post pics of the guy's with their name, address, phone number, social security number and credit card numbers.

You know, I wonder why it's Duke. Do you think it's a matter of chance that so many high-profile rape cases have surfaced there over other, bigger party schools?

By the way, I got to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

So let's see, a girl get's drunk, takes a guy home, then sleeps with him. The next morning she realizes that she did and cries rape. Shocking. Boo friking hoo.

The student accused in the rape has hired Los Angeles attorney Steve Sitkoff. In a telephone interview with WRAL, he said his client did not commit a crime.

"I am confident that once the Duke police, who I have the utmost confidence in, have completed their investigation, they will come to the exact same conclusion I have come to, and that is my client is 100 percent innocent of these allegations," said Sitkoff.

Based on the Duke University police Web site, the accuser admitted she was drunk and could not provide too many details of what happened leading up to the alleged attack.

You mean "Another alleged Duke rape under dubious circumstances"

Well, since she changed her mind then it MUST have been rape.

[/sarcasm]

Rape = bad, but this is a non-story. Rapes happen on college campuses all too often. The Duke Lacrosse team rape story has been going on for over 6 weeks now. Of course there's going to be another rape reported. This is just another example of how the media can make something to be larger and more widespread than it really is.

don't alleged rapes get reported more often than this at most major party schools? I guess they are making a big deal cause duke was already in the news a lot

hmm she walked home with him and reports the rape the next day? sounds like the beer goggles wore off..

Uh, this sh!t happens all the time on college campuses. It is not unique to Duke.

Yeah, but we all know why this one is getting reported in the news 😀

Women that falsely report rape need to be prosecuted and punished. It's not a 'game' and this crap is ruining a lot of men's lives because some girl decides she 'regrets' her drunken activities the night before. Here's a suggestion: if you have regrets the morning after drinking, don't drink anymore.

Which generally could still be considered rape I believe, at least in GA. As far as I know, our state law says that if the woman has any alcohol in her system, you stand a chance of being brought up on rape charges should she decide to file a suit.

Something like that.

The law allows for women to retroactively withdraw consent, even if they're blind stinking sober.

Hell, you could be drunk, have some girl drag you home from the bar, make you her pogo stick, then in the morning she regrets it because she really loves her boyfriend, so she cries rape.

yeap. also if in mid thrust and she changes her mind and you continue the thrust it is now rape.

also as M4H said they can change there mind AFTER the fact. there was one where a guy got busted for rape even though she said yes.
