The aircraft came down in Liaoning province on Tuesday, prompting reports by South Korea's Yonhap news agency and Chinese Internet speculation that it was a North Korean military aircraft flown by a pilot trying to flee the poor and isolated country.

Another news site said it ran out of fuel while the pilot and passengers were trying to escape to a better life in Russia. I would figure that members of the military in NK would enjoy a somewhat better life than the average person in that country, but I guess the possibility of escaping that is enough to risk them slaying your entire family that you leave behind to get out.

I wish/feel in times like that .. place like that... that citizens would imagine some way to even suicide bomb him.. anything... the fact that he lives really crushes my belief that humanity can overcome the evil that is inside us

It is sad some North Koreans want not live in Communism. He have not experienced the true joy from adoring Kim Jong Ils. It is better he dies than suffering capitalism.

Oh...I think they do much worse than just put your family in prison.

I've not heard of it myself but I assume that some defectors murder their family first. Others in history have done this. I think many of us would if we thought they'd otherwise be tortured or who knows what.

I do completely believe what you just wrote.. incredible and profound what we humans can and will go through to bring freedom to others
