Requiring me to purchase a product to exercise my RIGHTS is infringement.

How about you need to purchase insurance in order to speak freely or exercise your religion? How's that sound?

See how ridiculous you gun grabbers sound?
I thought you were ok with Voter ID rules though?

That doesn't require you to purchase anything only prove who you are, there is no infringement of rights in anyway shape or form. My state has them and it works great.

Do I have to produce Identification to vote?

All voters must produce identification or be known by a precinct officer prior to voting. KRS117.227 and 31 KAR 4:010 provide the types of ID that can be used by the voter such as: Personal acquaintance of precinct officer, Driver’s license, Social Security card, credit card, or another form of ID containing both picture and signature.

So, greasing the palm
of a precinct officer or a easily faked SS card, doesn't sound too secure to me....

There is a ballot with the individuals name on it and SSN. Plus there are tons of volunteer pole watchers. So when I vote, I get MY ballot.

It's a whole lot better than nothing. The precinct workers verify I am who I say I am and also compare signatures on the ID and what I sign for my ballot.

Plus there is accountability for the precinct worker if they go that route...they have to sign the voting roster.

Lol! Voter ID laws would restrict all but one of the many ways in which you can vote! Your dumbass doesn't even realize that you are actually against "voter ID" laws, especially if you are happy with your states level of security!

I couldn't agree more.

Kudos to you both.

As I predicted -

Now that all of the gun grabbers have verified my prediction, do they want to debate the punishment of the parents or not? *VS the punishment of all gun owners?

Bottom line:

I will never, ever, ever vote for my rights to be limited because someone couldn't teach their child the pros and cons of homicide.

Gun control of any kind is one giant slippery slope to confiscation, so I oppose all of it on this principle alone.

While I can't do much about laws already in place, anything that comes up for a vote in the future will have my direct opposition, either in the form of my vote against it, or my vote against any legislators for it.

Period. End of discussion. Have a nice day.

PS: I have immediate family that currently attends Reynold's High School.

Responsibility seems to scare him, that's something he needs to deal with. One of the comments made me laugh though ...

But the small likelihood of that scenario seemed vastly outweighed by all the other numerous ways I could accidentally shoot myself or someone else (my gun also has no safety). I've tried to brainstorm and found that there are very few scenarios where adding more guns to a situation makes it better.

This person should not own a firearm if there are that many ways they think they could shoot them self. I can't think of a single way I could accidentally shoot myself.

I can't imagine what it is like to live your life with absolute grace and care.

Kudos.

Sorry I know how to handle a firearm so that it isn't a danger to myself and those around me? Seriously though, how not to shoot yourself isn't rocket science.

Yep! Watch out for the ebil gubment! They are just one step from taking away our guns!

And when they take away your guns what evil plan will they then put in place? While we are at it, exactly who is the "government"?

My only hope is that the gun nuts accidentally kill themselves or their gun nut friends. At least then, I'll have comfort in knowing humans have a chance of evolving into something better.

*not all gun owners are gun nuts.

Not one step. Not even one decade. It would take 20 years of constant far-left-wing rule to enact any type of mandatory confiscation on a nationwide level. With the back and forth control we've seen over the last 20 years, I'm not worrying much these days.

The NY SAFE Act is proof in the flesh that governments can and will ban/confiscate ownership of firearms and accessories: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NY_SAFE_Act

NY state started their push for gun control as small, incremental steps, and now they're here:

"Bans possession of any "high-capacity magazines" regardless of when they were made or sold. The maximum capacity for all magazines is 10 rounds. .22 caliber tubular magazines are exempt from this limit. Previously legal "pre-1994-ban" magazines with a capacity of 30 rounds are not exempt, and must be sold within one year to an out-of-state resident or turned in to local authorities."

My only hope is that the gun nuts accidentally kill themselves or their gun nut friends. At least then, I'll have comfort in knowing humans have a chance of evolving into something better.
The US has 350 million firearms in private hands, billions of rounds of ammunition in private hands, hundreds of millions of standard capacity magazines in private hands. Keep hoping.

Lots of crying wolf but you, like most gun nutters, failed to answer the questions I asked.
