I've gotta argue that Grey Goose is better than Absolut. I'm not sure what you mean by french water, aren't GNS (like vodka) supposed to (most often) be devoid of taste? Of course, there's always the slight differences associated with what kind of starch from which the vodka is made.

The problem with GG is that it is too smooth. Vodka is supposed to have a good bite that GG doesn't have. I'm convinced that their popularity is due more to good advertising than quality. Stoli is more my cup of tea.

Nope haven't tried that. Then again I have a limit to the amount I will spend on booze. Usually drink Knob Creek good bang for buck and it is tasty... Except for one bottle that I returned because it was bad.
