Sorry for all the NEWB questions...

But on your case fans, on the front and rear, which way do you want them facing?

For lack of better, which way should the FRONT of the fan be facing?

Should they be pointed toward the outside of the case or pointing toward the inside of the case?

Generally you want to draw air into the case with the front fan (blowing into the case), and the rear fan blowing air out the back, creating an airflow drawing out the hot air.

So, say with the fan in the pic, the logo on the front fan should be facing inside the case and the rear fan the logo should be pointed out?

Well, I wouldn't use that as a guide because all manufacturers are different. Usually there's an arrow on one of the edges pointing the direction of airflow, but to be sure I like to plug them into the fan header and power on the computer; then you will know for sure. That could save you the hassle of taking it back out if it's wrong. Not that I ever did that

tl60 has it...air should be drawn in from the front of the case and exhausted from the rear of the case. Look for the small arrows on the side of the fan housing to tell you the direction of air flow and rotation.

General rule of thumb, front, side and rear = intake
Top and back = exhaust

To determine the direction a fan will push air you can also tell by the frame, the fan in the pic would be blowing away. The supports for the motor are on the exhaust side.

These are not hard and fast rules,,, experimentation with your case is the best rule. Some cases, the Lian Li A-05, IIRC is one example of a rear to front airflow and certainly the location that you choose to keep you case will affect the airflow and temperatures.

In the 120 mm size, Scythe Gentle Typhoon are highly rated. IIRC, there are 4 or 5 different models, all with different air flow ratings.
What size fans will fit your case?
