I changed my HD last night, ghosted everything from the old one. After that everything worked fine all evening.

This morning, I press the POWER button, the hard drives spin up, fans power up...
However, there is no video, no beep, no POST... I tried again with HDDs disconnected, no go. I tried reseating the slot 1 Celeron, still no go.

Now get this--I press the RESET button, the machine posts just fine, OS loads as usual and everything works normally. Restart and shutdown from Windows work as usual.

Some specs:
Abit BH6
Celeron 400 slot 1
128 Mb RAM
16 Mb Viper 550 Viideo
SoundBlaster LIve!Value
AverMedia TV tuner
Linksys LNE 10/100 TX
ISA Telepath 56K modem
ISA 28.8K modem

235 W ATX PS, came with the Evercase.

This system has always worked very well for 3 years. This happened only after the HDD change (Maxtor). I haven't tried plugging the old HD back in there, but like I said, disconnecting the hard drives does not result in a successfull POST.

Any ideas? Thanks.

UPDATE: I reseated the slot 1 CPU tonight, now POSTing works as usual. I might have bumped the video card as well. Those slot 1 CPUs...

Let's see now if it stays that way.
