Mr. Coffee.

I bought one of their nicer coffee makers a couple months back. Well I was washing out the pot and it cracked. It wasn't hot or anything, it just cracked. I emailed them asking for a little help and they are sending out a new one free of charge.

I really do think that smart companies are focusing more on customer service. Its a good thing.

Lionel sent me a repair part for my sons train, no charge. It was a cheap plastic piece, but things like that will keep me a customer for life.

I'm waiting for my company to finally get it through their thick skulls that we need to do this (well since we are a "service" based company, focus on the customer stuff to do whats right for them), and work on improving their draconian rules for their employees (there is no reason that if I'm 1 minute late to clock into my phone I can't just stay 1 extra minute, and instead get doc'ed 15 minutes PTO time).

I once used a coupon to get a free bottle of skin lotion from the drug store. I rarely use lotions since my skin only gets dry during the winters. About 3 years later I called the company and asked them if it was still ok to use the remainder of the product. They said it should be fine, but they sent me a new bottle of lotion for free so I wouldnt have to worry about it. I didnt even ask for it! I think it was Proctor and Gamble or Johnson & Johnson, I dont remember.

Now thats a good company. :)

While thats a nice story...I have to wonder why you were worried about a 3 year old bottle of lotion enough to make a phone call. Its not like it was going to turn into sulfuric acid when it passed its expire by date. :p

They had a consumer help line and I was trying to get them to decipher their epiration date for me. I dont remember what it was offhand, but it was something like P5D081RZ3. Curiousity just got the better of me.

I bought a Uniflame grill last year and busted a caster on it being stupid a few weeks later. Called to order one and the replaced it free of charge. You can bet I will be buying from them in the future.
