But I don't want the FX... I want the Sony SR17...
I'm sure some CSR at Sears will do it...

People in NC... apparently, BestBuy will match "local competitors." Plus, they stock the picturebook and the z series Sony. Anyone want to try?

If anyone can give me some info on how to do an online price match w/a company that boasts pricematching for a high powered laptop let me know...i've been shopping around for lappy's for some time and this place beats all :) lol

If you find a place to match it let me know and i'll do it, matter of fact i'll buy a few of them, whitchever we can find from a store to match it, and i'll sell them back toyou all here for some awesome deals!!! I say let's give it a go??? E-mail me (profile) w/the subject "anandtech deal" or something like that so i don't pitch your msg. as spam and we'll see what happens. Worth a try!!! :)

ksfhhllp that's a GREAT idea :D

Fermunda I'd love to help you, but I've never pricematched before.

If anyone's interested, Bonnie called and actually wanted me to return her message regarding my purchase :Q...I don't know what to make of it!!...Should I confront her about her shady company and demand she explains all this?

I don't what it means ksfhhllp

Is anyone here from NC and is close to this place? Perhaps you can pay them a visit and see about their open doors, literally :)

If anyone's interested, I emailed "Bonnie" back, and get my email back right away because of <DELIVERY FAILURE>, then I emailed them ALL a copy of it, and guess who replies back but "Bonnie"!!

She says that someone will contact me for my request of payment via COD...This is truly a 'interesting' show they're putting on...I wonder where it'll lead :Q

Hey, I was reading payment options carefully.

#3: · Pay Standard price plus receive a 15% discount.

· This option is available for students only.

· Pay at time of shipment. Students who wish to prepay their order will receive an additional 5% discount. (Credit Cards not accepted)

· Automatic price reduction guaranteed.

· Receive discounted shipping charge.

· Free shipping within the Continental U.S. for prepaid orders.

· Student Customers are only permitted to purchase one product per 60-day period.

· Student Customers must submit valid student identification by fax or email before their order will be processed.

It says that you get 15% off and you pay at time of shipment. Prepayment gets you 5% (but no credit card).
So what about ordering with option 3, but not prepaying? You still get 15%, but you pay with CC and screw the extra 5%.
Any input? Have they tried to bill people before shipment?
