Yes this story just broke and the guilty party this time is the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. I'm not sure how widespread this will turn out to be but here we go again. I wonder what the root cause for this will turn out to be.

Probably won't amount to much, really. It's been almost half a year since the iPhone 7 shipped -- if this were a Note 7-style flaw, we'd have heard about it months ago. Not that Apple shouldn't take this seriously, of course, just that it's more likely to be due to impact or a rare defect than a systemic problem.
