Another Board? WHICH? Dreaded Boot Loop Issue -Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B

So I built my new rig, went to power it up, and have been cursed with the dreaded boot loop issue the Gigabyte boards seem to have. I followed the lead of may suggesting all sorts of stuff with no luck
-Reset CMOS
-Leave battery out
-Unplug for 8+ Hours with battery out and cmos reset
-Try 1 stick of ram, in different slots, multiple sticks, etc
-Unhook reset button
-Unhook all drives and everything else
-Swap power supplies
EVERYTHING

This board is toast.

Doesn't even give me a chance to get into the bios.

Should I return it and get the exact same board, or pass and get something else?

I bought from Microcenter, and I have the i7-2700K CPU

Other boards I was considering:
ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 -Stocked at store, out of my price range, but would consider it.
Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 -Stocked at store, out of my price range, but would consider it.
ASRock Z68 PRO3-M - Stocked at the store
ASUS P8Z68-V LX - Stocked at the store
P8Z68-M Pro - Stocked at the store

Others that people seem to adore online but they don't sell at MC
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 - Not Stocked at the store
ASUS P8Z68-V LE - Not Stocked at the store

I have the Antec 302 case with USB3.0 on the front, so I might loose that with some of these boards.

Any recommendations? Or should I try another of the exact same board?

I followed along on this on your other thread, and sorry to hear about your bad experience with the board. I bought this same board for a build for my son, and so far no problems, knock on wood!

Maybe get it replaced, and try one more time with it? If not, I also did a build for myself with the Asus P8Z68-V LX from MC. It's a mostly no frills board, but if it has everything you need, I would not hesitate to recommend it. MC is fairly limited with choices for Z68 boards.

I used to see them stock the MSI Z68A-G45 (G3) and Z68A-G65 (G3) boards at the MC near me, but haven't seen them in a while. If they have them at your MC, maybe consider those as well.

I'm torn between getting another one, or just getting a different board all together. I considered the Asus P8Z68-V LX but only reason why I'm not is because my case has USB 3.0 on the front and I want to be able to use those.

If anyone recommends one of the boards I have listed below let me know which.

Of those choices, I'd say if the cheaper Asus board has everything you need, go with that and save the money.

I would recommend either Asus or Asrock.

I personally like the Asrocks over the Asus.

i just built a system about 3 wks ago using parts mostly from microcenter, got an i7 2600k and ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3. $345 for both. love the board so far, no issues.
