Another Blow to Ati

Ati better get their act together soon, because as low as their stocks were last month, I bought some of their stock, and they're even lower now! :frown:

$800.00? Not sure what you mean, but there are some 7800GT's available for $399.00.

I think he means for an SLI set-up you would need to spend $800.00

they can if ATI keeps delaying their next generation parts. if ATI doesnt release the R520 atleast by Oct, nvidia will be ready with its new refresh part which would outperform ATI's high end card.

If I were Ati, I would leak whatever info I had on R520 now, the silence is really killing them and is also kinda worrisome that maybe the R520 has some more serious problems.

I hate how the reviews dont show 6800GTs or 6800Us.

If you think about it 6800U => 7800GTX and 6800GT => 7800GT. Considering I put down $345 today for a 7800GT instead of $345 for a 6800GT I would at least like to know how much better it is....

To be aligned to one company is foolish, and yea its a fanboys thing, get what you believe to be the best, be scientific and read all about the details of both company cards, they are both excellent, x800s or 6800s or 7800s, whatever, those who restrict themselves to one company are foolish, and its a FACT that one year one company is better than the other and next year visa versa.
I buy both AMD and Intel cpu s / pc s , at the moment its AMD, l see it being AMD for some time with 64 bit comming n all, but you never know, then when the x800 range was first released NOTHING could even come close, not even the 6800 was out at that stage, now nvidia have released the 7800gtx and by poojabber its better than my x800xt or pro or xtpe. fact.
So l have two on order for my new duel core cpu AMD because l believe its better than a twin xeon Intel system.....
AMD duel core at 2.4 each...
Intel xeon at 3.6 each...
Be smart people and dont fall for company bs and hype, they are LIERS , fact, trust yourself or trust a site like Anandtech for some open unbiased veiws but keep in mind you will always get bias fanboy views too. It aint to hard to tell.
