Just so you know, that is a nice camera bag. So sell the GC on the FS forums for $25 and then buy the bag at Amazon.

Not everything they sell is overpriced, but a lot of it is. That's why it pays to shop around.

But of course! Last time I scored a hot deal at Best Buy was Oct 2008 - basic Emachines computer plus 22" Widescreen monitor $269 (out the door). Walmart was selling the same computer for $299, monitor extra. Otherwise I rarely set foot in Best Buy anymore.

I found the best way to spend best buy gift cards is to buy boring things like paper or video games (if you play them, I don't). It seems to be the more reasonably priced stuff.

I noticed that they have a book selection... but it is very limited. :(

So you're saying that you can find items cheaper online than in brick and mortor stores? Man, that's amazing!

Their online business should compete with other online stores.

Best Buy will be out of business in 10 years because most of business comes from physical media.

People go to Best Buy to buy computers, TV's, printers, and appliances. Music, games, and supplies are only a small part of their business. They're not going anywhere.

Best Buy has driven nearly all competitors out of business. If you think they're on their way out you're fucking nuts.

I haven't willingly browsed a Best Buy in over 2 years. I used to always just walk around and see what I could buy... well I don't even bother.

I do still go there on the rare occasion they have a sale on a particular item, but that's not very often. They're pretty much the only electronics store in my city, but I'd rather buy online than go to Best Buy.

I got a $20 BB giftcard about 4 years ago that I haven't used yet for this reason. No idea if it's still any good.

Microcenter and Frys are perfect examples of a B&M done right.
They keep the same competitive prices as their websites.

Obviously they can't be cheaper than Newegg, who is online only, but they are very close.
They even price match on a lot of popular items, like CPUs.
