Another Best Buy Rant

Wow. Best Buy is starting to get on my nerves. For the past couple of days, I have been trying to get Gears of War from Best Buy because I got a gift card as a Christmas gift and I have been wanting to get rid of it. Let us start on Wednesday. I go in ask them about Gears of War, they say they do not have any copies. I leave and I get home and call them and ask them when they are getting the next shipment. However, when I call the guy tells me that they have 10 copies in stock. So I rush to Best Buy and look, no copy. What a waste of time. Today, I call 3 times to ask if they got Gears of War. They have it. So I ask if they would save me a copy because they have 15 copies. So I go in and the guy that was supposed to save me that copy is on break and they can't find what he saved. He didn't save anything because he thought the people that asked him to save it already came. Oh wait, what was the point of asking for my name if you are not going to use it. So now here I am. Best Buy employees and Best Buy in general are a bunch of retards, sure there are some of them that actually know what they are talking about and are somewhat smart. But then there are those that are just stupid.I have two more days while it is $40 at Target so I can price match it, so it better be there. I am tired of dealing with Best Buy, I am going to go there twice a day and ask them there myself and walk out with it.No more of this phone crap.

Side note: While I was there this guy bought a 360 and while he was looking on what to buy, an employee asked him if he wanted an HD DVD player. He said he didn't want one because it would shorten the life of the Xbox 360.I was thinking, what an idiot. He was also looking at the games and had no idea what to get. These people do exist out there.

I called in and they said they have it. When I get there, they do not have it anymore. How do I check for availability if they do not have it when I call them and their freaking computers still show some copies when there are none.

Thefts might screw up their inventory system - it says that there are plenty of copies in the store, when there aren't any on the shelf, and the employee doesn't feel like walking on over to verify if the inventory computer has an accurate grip on reality.

geez, every place around me has had a bunch of copies of GoW, didnt know that it was in that big of demand. now the the wii on the other hand...

Apparently some people do not know about order online and pick up from store option... Jesus the kind of people that exist out there :disgust:

Paragraphs are our friend, do not shun them.

Na, they're there. They're just in the back. Now the trick is to come up with some way to get a cashier making $7.25 an hour to waddle their fat ass back to the store room to look for it.

Ok first of all, I got a gift card to Best Buy for Christmas, so I can't use it at Target. Plus, they check everywhere; they go out back, they check the front. They check everything. But it still shows copies.

I can use a gift card online but I do not believe that I should have to pay extra just because of the stupidity of Best Buy employees.

I don't see the relationship between online and 'stupidity of Best Buy employees'. Either the game is in stock or it isn't regardless of what the inventory computer says.

You have to understand something. They told me that they had 15 copies. I ask them to save me one. When I get there, no copies. Who's fault is that?

They based it on the inventory system. If they had told you 'no we have none in stock' you would still not have one and would still have to order one online.

Well then, the stupidity of Best Buy's computer systems. But still, Best Buy people are retarded. Most of them, there are exceptions, have no idea what they are talking about.
