Live in the now my man.

When I am travelling I am not too concerned about those pesky Crusaders or the Spaniards killing me in a terrorist act. :D

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! :D

(sorry)

Czar: Apologies for the Israel/Palestine comment.. was sort of getting sidetracked there. Was just thinking about Muslims and a possible double standard, like they feel it's somehow ok for them to perform/support/endorse suicide bombing, but not so for anyone else. Sorry, I'm a bit unfocused at the moment, been working all night.

Hey I happen to know a Travel Agent that can get you great rates for a Flight to that Pakistani fun spot, Islamabad. Of course the return flight is on a Cargo plane in a pine box. Live your own Indiana Jones adventure.

the problem is communists do things because they are communist and beholden to their little book of marx. they don't do things in the name of atheism. yes they happen to be athiests, but thats guilt by association. they believe fervently in their little book of dogma and will take out anyone that disagrees. communism is basically a religion, or has become.

For the losers that claim that atheists are something special.

It's funny because every time they protest it looks like they are trying to kill the policemen holding them back.

try asking the fundimental christians, this about being a fundimentalists in a religion, not a specific religion.

where:p in your head?

guess i'll yank whip some wonderful quotes from the koran out:p

"If you should die or be slain in the cause of God, His forgiveness and His mercy would surely be better than all the riches..." (Surah 3:156-)

"Prophet make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home." (Surah 9:73)

"Fight for the cause of God with the devotion due to Him...He has given you the name of Muslims..." (Surah 22:7)

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51) "The God will say: 'Jesus, son of Mary, did you ever say to mankind 'Worship me and my mother as gods besides God?' 'Glory to You, 'he will answer, 'how could I ever say that to which I have no right?" (Surah 5:114-)

And here are the real quotes (some totally different from what you said btw):

3:156
9:73
22:7
5:51
5:114

Interesting read: 2:190-194, this shows that Muslims are not allowed to fight if the other party does not show hostility, but is ignored/interpreted differently by fundamentalists.

Edit: And for easier reading: English translation of the Quran
Isn't it an idea to put link to both online versions of the Quran and the Bible in the FAQ, so people can actually look stuff up in the NARTs?

The problem with "living in the now", is that it ignores the historical record which clearly shows that atrocities can be committed by the religious, despite what the religious text espouses. Certainly, we should look at this event and find it to be wrong and tragic, but it is not sufficeint to blame o whole religion on.

It's the Wahabi sect of Islam that is so insanely intolerant and violent.

EDIT: You can thank the Saudi monarchy for spreading Wahabism around the globe.
