COREY! grrrr...

basically, corey clark is facing trial next month for assaulting his teenage sister and resisting arrest. he never disclosed this to the producers, and has been booted off the show.

i really liked corey too.

this is different from trenyce because she disclosed it beforehand.

Beat as in BEAT or beat as in sibling beat downs?

it doesn't clarify... it probably began as a sibling beat down, and someone heard the screaming and called the cops. then he started acting stupid in trying to resist arrest.

Well if it's good enough for him to be arrested Im thinking beat BEAT

edit: INCORRECT GRAMMAR!

Well, considering that kids call child services on their parents when they smack them on the butt these days for doing something wrong, it wouldn't surprise me if this was blown out of proportion.

I remember back in the day (early 80's) that I got put over my dad's lap and smacked in the butt with a belt if I acted up (only happend once...that was enough for me to learn). Today, that's grounds for a visit from the cops.

bwahahaha, punishing your children physically is perfectly normal and I think it's fine...not that I'd do it to my children, but I understand why, and I also know that it helped me in my childhood. And man did I have some bad ones 🙂

i wont get into what happened to me but i know can differentiate between a whopping and a nonwhooping and RESPECT is very important.

the abuse varies from state to state. in california, i've heard varying opinons but all go back to the hand. You can paddle with you hand on the butt with and open hand, that's it. Anywhere else constitutes abuse. No vines, whips, hangers, nothing. Then again, i can be totally wrong.

I used to get forks, and spoons across the knuckles at dinner, if I acted up:frown:

I have only spanked my daughter twice in 10 years. We have an understanding now, she knows when she has gone to far. The only problem is she acts like me:Q

To jump into a lighter take on this subject . . . . as far as the impact this will have on the competition, it'll probably be about zilch. It was fairly obvious that guy was out of his league in terms of singing talent in comparison to most of the others in this year's final group. He may have made it one or two more shows at the most before being cut.

I'm thinking the producers knew all of these "offenses" from all of them. They choose to keep them under wraps, and then present them at opportune times to create PR.

Why bother...she'll just get booted again. Good looking girl...great voice...but not a good performer at all.
