Anyone got any ideas. Recycled all components (2 maxtor HD, zip, floppy, cd) except Motherboard and processor. Using 256 pc133 w/ tbird 900. I keep getting a phantom gameport loading at startup.It of course conflicts with the
Yamaha PCI soundcard . Went to the bios and made sure any onboard periferals such as sound (which this board does not have anyway) were disabled .
I disable it in all hardware profiles - still get an IRQ conflict. If I remove it all is ok but the damn thing loads everytime I boot. Other pci junk-
modem,ethernet,scsi card in addition to the sound
card. Any thoughts appreciated.

I don't know if the A7V also has jumpers for sound and gameport, but the K7V does and some suggest using the jumpers as well as the BIOS to disable everything.

Worth a shot?
 
Thanks -worth a shot - Let me pull out ye ol manual and see if it is an option , I'm not sure as there is allegedly no sound on board- the soft bios way aint working . Perhaps it is being haunted by the spirit of sound cards past
