Another 9800 Pro Cooling Post...

I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Case cooling is excellent. I want to start overclocking my card and figure I should cool this better than what the retail card is. You know as well as I do we we can't keep a video card in our systems without doing something to them. Please let me know which one you would choose and why? If you have some pictures or articles to backup your opinion please include.

i heard the 9800pro has a HSF that is totally sufficient at stock for overclocking the GPU.
thus, you only need to add ramsinks.

i thought the VGA Silencer was just for people who want to overclock and ALSO to make their case silent. it also helps to get heat out of the case too.

I got the termaltakebecause the SVC was out of the silencer. I am running mine at XT speeds with no problems and it is silent too 🙂

I ended up with the Vantec Iceberq4 and OCZ BGA Ramsinks. I'm using the ATI Tool to overclock.

02-11-2004 = core@405Mhz / mem@705Mhz (Rock Solid)

I thought I fxxked up my card after I installed this cause nothing would run in 3d (games). I put my hand near the fan to make sure it was running and ouch! I couldn't get near the card is was so hot. The sleving I put on the power cable caught the fan and prevented it from running. 😱

It looks cool, but don't know how much it's going to help with Oc'ing.
