i have a DLT3C 0310 WMPW and a abit N7-s (XMS pc3200 and slk800 w/sfII). i can get a perfectly stable OC @ 200*11 (2200) @ 1.6V. with the new abit BIOS, temps are 39C idle 44C full load. now, i'm trying to push it a little more. i try 200*11.5 w/ 1.75V and it boots into windows and immediately crashes. i dont think i have to loosen the RAM timings (5-2-2-2) since i'm running it at 200mhz. any ideas of what i can to up the OC? or has the chip reached its limit?

Hmm...I have a DLT3C 0310 WMPW and Abit NF7-S too...My chip does 2.3 (200x11.5) @ 1.7v easy. Try loosening the timings of your ram to see if thats the limiting factor. I have my ram at 2-3-3-6. Then again...its POS GEIL...

Ive heard the WMPWs dont like high volts

i thought of loosening the timings, but would that really matter since it's rating to those timings @ 200 Mhz?

I didnt check the poster...BUT is you shady...we've spoke about this before havent we? You have almost the same exact setup as I

1700+ 0310 WMPW @ 2.3ghz (200x11.5)
Abit NF7-S rev 2.0
Geil PC3500 2-3-3-6
Antec TruePower 380W
Volcano 7+ (on medium)

There is nothing that should prevent you from being stable at 2.3 ghz. There might be 3 possible problem areas

1. I read in different forums that sometimes flashing to newer bios lowers overclocks. This has been the case with the newest ABIT bios for the NF7-S rev 2.0

2. Your ram might be limiting...try loosening the timings and see what happens..

3. The worse case senario...u got a "bad" chip...relatively speaking of course...

i think it may be the ram cuz before i flashed my bios, i need 1.7V just to get to 2200 so i think that the new bios actually helped quite a bit in overclocking. i want to try to loosen the ram timings right now but i dont want to risk it not working and the computer alarm going off and waking everyone up...

I think so too...But if thats the case...keep the tight timings with a lower overclock... its better for performance as opposed to a higher overclock and looser timings....
