Anone watching History channel on WWII Pacific dogfights?

I wonder what flight sim they are using for the recreations, it has great graphics. Surely they would just use a commercially available game instead of writing something new.

CFS? Maybe, but it doesn't really look like it. It's a great show. My history teacher and I have occasional head-to-head dogfights in CFS, and this is giving me some more ideas...

They had another great show on about a month ago where they analyzed gun camera footage from various fighter aircraft during WWII. They even had a few of the actual WWII pilots analyze their own camera footage. It was awesome. If they air it again be sure to check it out!

link to the vid, and I might recognize it.

There is CFS III, good graphics, never played it, heard bad things.

Then there is the IL-2/ Pacific Fighters series. Great graphics, lots of fun. Really good oceans.

yea that one pilot who got the CMH on his first flight because he shot down 8 jap planes. and the other one who faught it out until his plane finally flamed from all the bullet holes ahd he had to bail out. natives found him and traded him back to the americans for a 10 pound bag of rice. he also got the CMH.

awesome show.

tye one that got his CMH on his first flight (the marine right?) that was not fair. the stupid pilots just sat there and let him shoot them. they didn't move or anything. just stayed in formation.

he would have been fine if he didnt get cocky.

but yeah its a great show.
