Anodizing or painting?

I'm looking into doing a case mod with a PowerMac G5 case. I believe the whole thing is made of aluminum. I want to either anodize or paint it black. Any suggestions? I'd like to try and keep the aluminum look & feel if possible, which is why I'm leaning more towards anodizing, but I don't know how I'd do that.
