I noticed last week that I suddenly seem to have alot of mice down in the shed where the dogs, dogfood, etc. are. So I went on the warpath starting Friday night. 4 spring traps baited with peanut butter. So far:
Traps: 14
Boot: 1
Club: 1
I caught one yesterday within two minutes of setting the trap - heard it snap as I walked out the door. Played whack-a-mole with another that was popping out of a hole in the top of the dogfood bin.
No sign of slowing so far. It's of particular concern in our area due to Hanta virus. That and lots of rodents attract snakes, possibly rattlesnakes.
