hi all

i have a toshiba notebook and a linksys wpc54g wireless adapter. the internet connection works most of the time but even when it works i keep getting this pop-up message that says:

"wireless-g notebook adapter v.2.0 wireless network monitor
external exception E06D7363"

the same message pops-up multiple times within seconds of each other.

does anyone know what's wrong? fyi: i have linksys wrt54g router and works fine with my desktop wireless card.

thanks,
chipy

That's an oxymoron! In my experience, Toshiba is TERRIBLE at driver updates! He may as well buy a new wireless NIC. ;)

At any rate, I'm not sure what would be causing that. I do usually recommend formatting the drive and doing a clean install of Windows, if you haven't done so already. Otherwise, I'd say just give their tech support a call and have them troubleshoot it.

thanks all for responding,

i have the newest driver installed... and formatting/reinstall OS isn't really an option - at least a worst-case scenario thing. either way, i'll give linksys and toshiba tech support a try.

thanks,

Could always try completely uninstalling the wireless card drivers (is it a built in card or a PCMCIA type card)? Then try to reinstall it from scratch. Or with WIn XP you shouldn't even need it since you can use Windows's wireless client program thingie too.

Are you using the Linksys software or XP's builtin wireless manager to manage your wireless connections?
