Chances are, in any given episode, the ship gets chewed up, tossed around, spit up and then rechewed all over again. Next episode...ship is like new ... despite the fact that there isn't any support, nowhere to do periodic maintenance, and no reasonable way to get components efficiently considering most of the people they meet are technologicall inferior.

You realize it was a TV show right? How long would the series have lasted if they couldn't repair their ship.

You make a good point, but you'd think they'd at least TRY and explain it.

That's one reason why 'Year of Hell' I & II were cool. They actually had to deal with damages.

Well, just because it was a weekly show, doesn't mean it followed the same time as well in the series. Why couldn't they repair the ships themselves if given a few months?

Worst of The Star Trek spin offs. Were a few good ones.

Better than no Star Trek!

That would make sense I guess....
I remember reading on the net at some point that, with all those little pushes like slipstream drive speed pushes and all the little shortcuts that voyager took, they were only a few months from home by the time the series ended anyways.

And the biggest flaw of all. How could they not put a time-delay on those torpedos and jump through the ship transporter right before it goes off?
