What are some programs that you delete after installing Windows XP?

As for me, I always delete the Windows Messenger program.

I'm sure there are useless programs out there but I don't know any atm.

Any suggestions/recommendations on which program that I should look out for and delete it ASAP?

MSN Explorer is always the very first thing I remove (along with Messenger).

I go through the Services and MSCONFIG.
Disable anything that doesn't look important enough. (well, you know what I mean)

I'm also a fan of nLite to clean up Windows before the install.

I've used it quite a few times & results are good.

In addition to the nLite website provided by Spook, there are helpful forums for the WIndows XP verrsion: nLite forum

and the Vista version: vLite forum.

So nLite/ vLite are to tweak Windows before you install.

THere's also another tool to clean junk out of windows after you've already insalled it, called WPI (Windows Post Install Wizard). I haven't used it.

In general, tweaking Windows is a topic of huge interest, and there are lots of web sited dedicated to that topic.

A couple of them are:
MSFN

TweakGuides Tweaking Companion (free download)

Tweakhound Guide

There are a LOT of similar guides out there.
