annoying problem with when I open a file within program

So lately whenever I try to open a file through another program like word or excel, the explorer window doesn't sort by name which is used to. So I right click in the window, hit sort by name, and all is fine but it never saves my choice and I have to sort by name when I open something again.

What do I have to do to make it sort by name by default again? It's not a huge problem but it's just an annoying thing I'd like to get rid of if possible.
