It's a class at a university... IS/IT Fundamentals. The guy that sits behind me loves to make smart-ass comments about everything. Comments about assignments and smart remarks to the teacher... he really thinks he's hot sh!t.

There's a lot more girls in here than in most classes at this school so I'm guessing he's half trying to show-off/act badass and half just a loser in general. I'd love to turn around and punch him in the face with some brass knuckles.

You guys have people like this in your classes? Thankfully he's the only one (although the class is 70% whiners) in here and this is the last offical day of class except for the final next week.

I had a class where this dude would go way off course when the teacher said certain words. Like if the teacher said "car", the dude would start talking about cars he'd seen, how cars are made, fuel injection, etc.

The teacher would just keep talking. ;)

I tend to sit in the front of the class, whereas those people tend to sit in the back.

That class was hilarious. There was another dude who would argue with the teacher.

One time the professor was teaching and said "...so then what would the importance of this be?". The dude said "It's not important".

So now you have a 17 year old arguing with a guy who got a doctorate in nuclear physics.

my teachers are all intelligent enough to make a witty enough quirp that whoever was talking would feel
1) really really stupid
2) Un-intelligent (yup, on top of really really stupid)
3) like an ass
4) embarassed enough to not only stop talking but sulk in their seats

in the mean time, post pics of the girls.

He left already (it's a lab day) and I don't have any brass knuckles so there'll be no punches. Haha pics of the girls... sorry, no cam and they'd be doing the punching if I was taking pics of them ;).

I had a kid in my discrete math, and two of my computer science classes that was commonly refered to as "the voice".

He would always make stupid little jokes, and after the professor explained something "the voice" would often say "So what you're trying to say is.... and then repeat whatever the professor just said." He would also ask for some extremely simple things to be repeated, or just say things that were just incorrect. The reason he was refered to as "the voice" is because he has the loudest, most annoying voice I've heard in a while.

Haha there's a guy like that in my Data Structures class. He repeats what the professor just said 10 seconds ago... dumb jokes, talks quite a bit. Still, he's just goofy, I can stand it. The other guy I just want to blast in the face.

Also annoying:

~300 person lecture, 8AM.

A guy is sitting right behind you, eating M&M's and messing with the wrapper constantly which makes it so you can't hear the professor.

My kids won't be going to a State University for stupid reasons like this (large lectures), being a Senior and about to graduate from a large University, I think I reserve the right to have that opinion. :p
