Annoying msn pop up ads, help

I am using winxp sp1 with latest version of msn
lately i am getting this stuipd pop up from nowhere
(goto messagecrusher.com to see what I am talking about)


anyways is there a way to disable these ads from popping out?

The annoying this is XP won't let you close down windows messanger b/c it is in use by the OS :/

Start>control panel>administrative tools>services>messenger and stop the service and change startup type to disable.

This is not anything to do with msn/windows messenger, those popups are from the windows messaging system.
