Annoying Google Drive Sync problem

It's not really Google's problem I guess.
I have it syncing to a folder on my NAS, when comp comes out of sleep, which it does very quickly with an SSD and non-hybrid sleep, Google Drive Sync craps out because it looks for the remote folder, can't find it quite yet, and does not offer a way to re-try other than close it and re-start it.
This is annoying.

Thoughts?

Yes it's a synology NAS, yes I tried the built in sync app, no it does not work consistently unfortunately. 🙁

I invented a goofy workaround.

Synced gdrive to local disk, installed Synologys Cloud Station software on this PC and married it to a shared gdrive folder on the NAS. Extra software and sillyness but it works and the NAS can still hibernate. If there was a more elegant way I'd be interested.
