Annoying google docs problem

I'm currently overseas in Switzerland and Google is really annoying me. I can access my gmail just fine but when I try to use Google docs everything is in German. The same goes for Google search, Google calendar.

Picasa and Google reader work just fine.

Does anyone know how to fix/get around this?

change language. or maybe use a proxy server? i hate that whenever i go to google.com, it automatically takes me to google.co.il. but i found that using opera and the g whatever string to search works well.
