Annoying Error Messages

After downloading Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 +, I started getting strange error messages, which I am unable to clear. My OS is Windows ME, fully updated with latest downloads, except, that I have now removed the 5.5 Service Pack 1, without eliminating the problem. The error message is as follows, with several variations, but always refers to VCT32150.DLL or <unknown>:

Iexplore has caused an error in VCT32150.DLL
Iexplore will now close.

If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.

If I click on either the OK or Close buttons, the message returns with <unknown> in stead of VCT32150.DLL.

Then, if I click on OK or Close, the message disappears and everything works just fine. I have seen the same error messages with Helpctr, Winmgmt, Explorer, Rstrui, etc.

My Microsoft Internet Explorer version is: 5.50.4134.0100.

If anyone understands what is causing these error messages and/or how to eliminate them, I sure would appreciate that input.

My cousin, a former IS Director, now retired, provided the solution. He said my VCT32150.DLL file was probably corrupted. He suggested that I go to the www.redstorm.com site, download the voxware.zip file, delete the old file and replace it with the newly downloaded one. That did the trick; the annoying error messages are gone.

Thanks for the reply received, but the IE Ver. 6.0 is a beta and actually, the problem was with the VCT32150.DLL file and not with IE 5.5.😀
