Annoying device driver problem

Submit

Senior member
I was looking in the Device Manager and I noticed that under "Sound, video and game controllers" --> "nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal)" has a mark next to it, stating "This device cannot start (Code 10)"

I tried reinstalling and updating the driver, but it didn't change anything, also tried the WDM_1.08 driver from nvidia, but it didn't help.

I am using a Visiontek Extacy TI 500, under Windows XP Pro.

TIA

well submit,

I have the same thing in my device manager. Since everything seems to be working and manufacturer has still not gotten back to me. I have temporarily stopped worring about it. why did you remind me.... Merry Christmas Happy Happy to all. I am running xp with soyo dragon + t1 200 visiontech videoboard. I ran 3d mark and came up with 6822 score. so seems all is working ok. my Thoughts are that it is probably because I do not have anything set up to recieve outside video but I am just guessing. If I find out anything I will post it.

It might be a windows XP or Visiontek Geforce Ti related issue...

Here is a quote from Visiontek's FAQ.

Q: What is the 1.08 WDM driver anyway? Do I need it?
A: The WDM driver is a video capture driver that is necessary only if you are using our Xtasy Everything product. It is unnecessary to install this driver for our other video cards.

Q: Will the 1.08 WDM driver posted on your website work in all Windows Operating Systems?
A: Yes. The version 1.08 driver posted on our website is appropriate for Win98, ME, 2000, and XP.
