Annoying Credit Card Company

I have 3 charges on my card from July 1. No idea what they are, and don't remember making those purchases.

There have been times when I will make a purchase and forget the receipt, but it's not too often. And definitely not 3 purchases from the same vendor for near the same amount in the same day.

I called my credit card company and they refuse to give me any information about the company. They say they don't have it. So how am I supposed to verify these are fraudulent if I can't figure out where it's from? I would hate to open up a fraud investigation only for them to come back and tell me more details and for me to be like "oh, duh. I remember now."

Every vendor that accepts credit cards is supposed to provide a contact number to the credit card company for just this reason. If your credit card company is unable to provide this information then I would automatically dispute the charge until such information is provided.

I have had this happen before lol..

but yeah, you should be able to get that information since they are required to do so.
