Annoying calls from your own party?

My wife and I are enjoying a good movie the other night and around 9:45pm the phone rings, its someone working for the local democratic party office asking a few questions. I stayed on the line for a second, then told her if she wants me to take her seriously, she might want to try calling at a reasonable hour, so I hung up. On most nights, my wife would have been sleeping already by that time.

I've gotten about 5 calls over the past years from the local office, all at what I would consider to be much later at night than I would want them to be. I would say 8pm is the cut off IMO, no biggie, but when your hitting nearly 10pm, thats a bit late to be making random calls asking political questions.

Is this a common thing around the country? Calling late at night? Or do I just have an annoying local office.

I know I get annoying calls when I'm throwing a house party!

.. but I don't get annoying calls from any political parties.

9pm is the legal cut-off time for such calls. If they call later, I would suggest letting them know they called too late.

nope. I don't have a land line (well, I do technically, but there's no phone attached to it)
