Because of the tremendous growth of the AnandTech Forums over these past few months we have been forced to impose a number of restrictions such as a limit on private messages, disabling full-text search, and bandwidth capping. I started this community because of my fondness of it and offered it financial backing even in spite of its significant lack of profitability. However it has gotten to the point where the resources the Forums consume result in too great of a loss. The Forums are supported almost entirely by the main site which unfortunately, many Forums users don't visit on a regular basis. This was a necessary move on our part in order to ensure that the Forums would be around in the future. Thanks again for your support.
