Next month will be our 1-year anniversary, so it's a big deal, but we're also dropping all of our money into our credit card bills with a goal to be credit card debt-free by the end of the year. With the bills and just the way the economy is right now we're really pinching pennies so we weren't even sure if we were going to go away for our anniversary.

I got an email from Travelzoo with a 50% off special at a hotel, which seemed like a sweet deal (http://hotels.travelzoo.com/orlando-hotels/423745). So for about $200 we get to stay in Orlando for 3 nights. We'll probably just hang out or try and find things that don't cost an arm and a leg (like theme parks)...

Anyways, if you're interested in going to Orlando there's a great price. The hotel looks decent, nothing special though.

I'm not familiar with Orlando particularly, but generally in any major urban area you can find little wine shops that do tastings on Saturdays. Drop in to two or three tastings and you've had a pretty enjoyable afternoon for free.

I thought there would be more discussion on ways to get out and have fun on a budget... oh well, we'll have fun I'm sure. ;)
