Pretty sure she just throws this stuff out there to distract liberals. I doubt anyone actually cares what she has to say.

Interestingly enough, when my school brought her in as a speaker, quite a few people went to hear her speak. We had Michael Moore in a few weeks before that, and he had a much bigger audience, but it's college so that's pretty expected. The funny part was that the conservatives at my school wanted to bring in Ann Coulter as a "conterpoint" to MM...personally I think Coulter makes Moore look like a moderate.

As a registered Republican, I can honestly say that she is a moron and in no way represents my views in any way, shape or form.

I'd still hear Moore or Ann speak... It's obivious they're both stupid, but they're still interesting...

Why would any college bring either of them? Colleges are supposed to be places of higher education, not proliferation of idiocy. And yes, my college also had MM scheduled, but he was sick so he missed. Just confused how either have anything to do with education.

I don't think there's a single person out there who would take something she said seriously.

She is rather hot though - in a somewhat frightening way. If I ever had a midnight encounter with her, I'd be thankful for escaping with all limbs intact afterwards.

So long as people take Michael Moore seriously, Anne Coulter will be taken seriously.

I don't think Michael Moore can be compared to Ann Coulter in terms of idealogy. I mean she adores McCarthy. What the hell is that sh!t.

I don't like Moore at all, but there is crazy (MM) and then bat-sh!t-off-the-deep-end crazy (AC).

Michal Moore isn't crazy. He's a pathetic filmaker that has no problem using manipulation to change the views of others to match his own.

Anne Coulter may be over the top, but she isn't even close to being on the same level as Michael Moore.

She is much more vitriolic than he is, and obviously less intelligent. She is redeemable due to her looks, whereas that makes Moore even more reprehensible. Both are idiots, but that's what they cater to, so it works out great.

I think she is the unfortunate byproduct of parents who didn't take the proper precautions when stripping lead paint in their house with young children around.

Ann Coulter advocates things that sound dangerously close to violence (sometimes she comes right out and says it) against anyone who disagrees with her world view. She clearly not only disagrees with people, but HATES them on a very deep level (or she's good at pretending). Michael Moore does indeed manipulate people (IMHO), but I don't get the same threatining feeling from him.

If their positions and ideologies were reversed, I'd expect Coutler's Fahrenheit 9/11 to include her screaming at Republicans on the street and making suggestions that someone needs to "do something" about Bush. What well reasoned thing did she suggest we do after 9/11 again? Was it something along the lines of invading all Muslim countries, killing their leaders and forcing them all to convert to Christianity? Try as I might, I can't find anything so chilling that MM has ever said. I dislike him as well, but I wouldn't turn my back on Coulter.

I disagreed with their use of the money, I'll say that right up front. But Moore was very cheap for such a well known person (Coulter was not, but conservatives on campus were screaming for a rebuttal to Moore). And in any case, dumb as I think both of them are, you can learn quite a bit from either one. F9/11, even though much of it was crap, gave me new things to think about, and research myself, leading to quite a bit of learning on my part.

But I still think there are better speakers that could have been brought in.

She sells a lot of books, so someone must be paying attention. And that is a sad thing really. I've said before that I think she has created a very dark and scary world for her mind to live in, populated by demons of her own design. The idea that she could convince others to share her vision is frighening.

well, they both sort of have the cushion of comedy to fall on when all else fails as an "out," so to speak.
maybe its because im not a conservative but i dont understand it when coulter says that she is joking about something...i feel like there is no joke involved or, if there is, it is of the completely desperate and unveiled variety that is the enemy of comedy. if moore makes a joke and i dont find it funny, i tend not to be offended by not laughing.
