I love Ann Coulter! I admit, she's out there, but it's part of her schtick. Her purpose on this earth is to be a voice for conservatism. She's chosen to be somewhat controversial about it, to be heard. If she was as non-contoversial as the head of the Republican Party (I don't know who it is either...that's my point), then she wouldn't be heard. Maybe she goes TOO far, and distorts her message. But I like her.
If you love Ann Coulter, then you must be a liberal, because all she does is make herself and the conservative movement look idiotic.
Nah, I consider myself pretty intelligent, and I don't think she makes the conservative movement look idiotic. I wish more conservatives had the guts to say what she does. It's refreshing. I don't care who it offends. I'm tired of this PC world, where offending someone is as harsh a crime as murder. I say, offend and be prepared to be offended. Who cares?
Just don't take away your guns and don't insult God. Otherwise it's okay to call gays faggots and scum of society, right?
yeh, it sounds like you don't know why she said it, and i'm not defending her, but she said it as a joke (just like South Park characters say it).Originally posted by: mercanucaribe

Dear god, shut up, southpark is a cartoon and when they throw those words around, they're trying to make a point intellectually speaking. Coulter is an attention whore who does this kind of crap in order to 'shock' everyone and boost her book sales and appearance fees and she does it in totally innapropriate venues. I'm sure a lot of the attendies at CPAC really 'appreciated' how she singlehandedly made their event look like a elementary school playground rather than a forum for serious conservative intellectual debate.
Edit: Even MICHELLE MALKIN (aka, the ann coulter wannabe) called her out on that.

I think its thoroughly disgusting that your school has even invited her after all of the hate and vitriol she constantly spews.
I never claimed he did. But he spews "hate and vitriol" just the same and is also controversial.Originally posted by: judasmachine

I haven't heard Mr. Moore refer to anyone publicly as "lovely human."

i never said Coulter spewing the word lovely human out was alright. i am only showing that in other venues people seem to accept it, but Coulter sackriders are having a field day with this because people love to hate her.

i appreciate your civility unlike someone else who feels the need to call someone a moron or tell them to shut up when he can't see their point or doesn't agree.Originally posted by: judasmachine
Mosh you have a point, but if you watch the right does seem to be a bit more petty than the left when it comes to mudslinging. There are always exceptions though. I enjoyed listening to Barbara Bush, but I think I'd want to hurt Ms. Coulter.

i think the mudslinging comes pretty equally from both sides. it's too bad that takes up more of our politicians time than straightening out things that need tending to in the country.
i fear we are about to witness the the dirtiest presidential campaigns ever.Originally posted by: judasmachine

My biggest fear is that we'll all become so dumbed down and petty that our debates will just become name-calling. Watching Hillary and McCain call each other boogerhead all day isn't my idea of a presidential debate.

:disgust: which is why conservative bloggers and politicians who attended CPAC denoucned her right afterwards. She's the antithesis of intelligent discourse. If i wanted to get my anti-PC rage on, i'd watch southpark or something. She makes the conservative movement look idiotic and more and more conservatives are finally realizing this point.

^ PC BS
Would it be OK if she called him a retard, or moron, or idiot, etc? Those terms are demeaning to those people. Give me a break. It was directed towards Edwards, not homosexuals. This new PC-ness of the new "F" word is dumb, IMO.
