I get all my anime off Netflix... if I like it I usually buy it off E-Bay... how about you all?

you do realize most of the anime's people watch are not out on dvd or available for rental

LoL, nah I did not realize that... I usually watch the crap off Cartoon Network and since I can not make every weeks showing I just get the series off Netflix...

if its not licenced in the US for distro its LEGAL to download, the Japanese copmpanys dont care, it actually helps them to have fansubbers, with them their viewing audiance is a million times larger

if a friend recomends an anime series, I'll download an episode to check it out, and if I like it, I'll go about seeing how I can legally purchase it (netflix, amazon, etc), and if not, I'll download as much as I can.

I like to avoid those crappy fansubs whenever I can, though.

fansubs are FAR better then any Dub

and many times translations on the fan subs are better then the subs on the DVDS

even if it's unlicensed, it's still technically illegal to download it. but most japanese companies turn a blind eye to it since it usually helps get stuff licensed. but there have been several occasions where the japanese companies have had fansubbers stop subbing/distributing a unlicensed series.
