exactly. Get the stuff legally and support the people who made it.

The 9 short films are pretty awesome and well worth it.

Of course if you want it for free (or at least part of it) you can go to HERE and get free legal copies of:

Second Renaissance Parts 1 & 2
Program
Detective Story

Just click in to play the episode, and on each page, there is a link for you to download them.

Warning: They are HUGE, broadband highly recommended!!!

I watched it on PPV...the first couple are decent...but ones like the runner and kid are just stupid....the runner especially....horribly drawn....the first two though (backstory) are pretty cool along with the haunted house :) beyond that though....i dont think its worth $15...

I just bought my copy from BB yesterday. I've only seen the Osiris, Kid's Story, and all the legit free online episodes. I kinda liked the animation style of kid's story. It takes me back to that snowman cartoon from the 80's.

This is a good deal. I think they'll bump it up to $17.99 next week.

Since you're new at ATHD, I'll let you know that people in this forum (at least, the hot deals section) don't take kindly to the mention of piracy. I think claiming you pirated something can earn you a vacation as well.

Who said that I was the one that downloaded it? I all I said was that I've had a copy of it for 2 months. And before you bust out the Mr. Senior Member on me, you don't have to log on to this forum to view it. Just because my account is new, doesn't mean I haven't been reading this board for quite awhile now. BTW, thanks for the flame, I hope you get that new rank sometime soon.

Oh, okay. See, I was under the impression that only downloading it is illegal. So I guess you could say that driving a stolen car is legal as long as you didn't steal it....

yeah, I think you're just making yourself look worse.
Another case of "just keep your mouth shut and you would be better off."

Whether you were the one who downloaded it or not, you're supporting piracy AND aware that you're doing so. Don't trumpet your criminal activities, you won't get toasted. It's that simple. Now instead of discussing who's right or wrong, can we find some smokin' deals?

Get off the guy's case, they were available free online as they came out. Now they're not ALL available free, but they were released every couple weeks or so.

I agree my first guess was he was slinging a pirated version for a cheap cheap DVD.

Now I am all for people pirateing software designed for nice fat corporation wallets that can't afford it....(I remember in college several educational discount packages still over $300 a pop....when you are eating Ramen for every meal $300 is your yearly food allowance ;) ). I can see paying if your are making money with the app, but for many hobbyists they just want to play.

I may pick this up this weekend.

I totally agree with that. Although its STILL piracy even if you don't make money... the statement is a good way to morally validate your illegal activity ;)

on another note, I saw all 9 animatrix eps before they were released, but I still plan to buy them because they are just so damn good... i might even buy a copy to give to someone as a gift :)

hehe yeah I am not saying piracy is a good thing, but I make the most of it.

If I ever have a chance to make money with the app I do always buy it first even if the business never profits.

If I really find myself using the app alot I buy it, even if it's just for fun.

If I am just using it to see what it's all about I still uninstall it once I am done playing. If I find a need to use it again I purchase...or find a free/cheap clone.

Hey, I'm out of college but I can't stop eating those ramen noodles. I guess I'm addicted to them.

saw it on PPV...I was very dissapointed. Especially since the first cartoon was excellent and actually tied into the movies. The rest were downers. Renaissance was ok, but if that's the back story the wako brothers thought up, them I'm kinda dissapointed...
