Animating a Music Video

I was watching a performance on CD USACD USA (a dTV show) and was messing around with 3ds max at the time and i got to wondering if i could take a music video from one of the performances and then animate or or set it up so i could animate the artist and such? Im new to animation and i thought this would help me get started. The video i have recorded is from when Natasha Bedingfield performed...and i basically just want to be able to digitalize her then be able to make my own music video. Or i could take my other video from when Switchfoot played. Doesnt matter, i just want to be able to get the hang of animating people and then actually making them move and such.

Edit: oops, replied before typing. 😱

You'd have to make a model then Texture it with the persons Face, Body, etc on it, then animate it.

Or, (just musing) you could probably make a flat cutout of the person using a Plane and animate the Plane. The downside to that is the person would be flat with no 3D.

I decided to take the performance i recorded off of CDUSA and just take a single frame from it and then start manipulating it in 3ds max...i think im going to give up on this seeing as how i only wanted to do this for boredoms sake. Thanks for the help though.
