Such as .gifs Also, sometimes emoticons aren't animated. Such as the ones on this forum sometimes don't work, and on other forums I visited. The main issue is the .gifs not working.

How do I fix this? Please don't suggest FireFox. I like my IE. ;)

Opera?... Sorry, but wierd problems with IE are hard to fix and sometimes require a reformat as the browser is part of the OS. Had any viruses recently? That could explain it.

Perhaps it's something simple.

Tools menu > Internet Options > Advanced tab > check "Play animations in web pages" under Multimedia

I doubt there is a virus. I scan every night with Zonealarm.

Nohr, that option is already checked off. So that's not the issue. :(

Zonealarm has ad blocker but its on medium setting. Turning it completely off fixed it. I wonder why. This was never an issue before.

why would u use IE

Because I like using IE. I never had any spyware or virus issues with it.

Nvm It didn't work. There are somethings that don't work, such as some emoticons on other forums I visit. But it seems the .gifs so far are working

krnxpride83, what is my loss? What do you mean "ur loss?" There is nothing I am losing by using IE.

Most decent local proxies (ZoneAlarm, Proxomitron, etc) have options to disable .GIF animation. It should under somewhere under the options menu. :)
