If these circus folk were nearby, and understood how bad it was, I think it's great they found a way to help. Publicity stunt or not, there's simply not enough horsepower (either by man, tractor, or animal) to make any decent progress clearing debris.

I over heard how important it was to clear vehicles so that all other debris could be tended to.

If they can get this elephant to dig out even 100 cars without it suffering much, I think it's great. Put this guy to work!

it's only animal cruelty if that elephant is being overworked and under fed. I dont see anything wrong with this

Sometimes you do what you have to do.

Animal cruelty? No, the elephant is no differnet then using dogs to look for bodies.

While I am as protective as anyone with animals as long as they are treating the animal well I have no problem with them using the elephant to move vehicles, it is not that heavy for them.

I also want something very bad to happen to that QB in Philly. Having him butt raped by a giraffe would be a good start.

that's badass and that elephant is strong as fuck. Notice the rear wheels were not turning so he's dragging that SUV.

Reminds me of this video

Elephants are amazing animals. They have the power of a trackhoe, and the gentleness of a nurse. Imo, they're the perfect way to sort through wreckage, especially when looking for survivors.
