My computer has been acting rather strangely i wanna make sure it is not a virus. Any antivirus software that is free and usefull?

Anti-virious programs just stuff things up. If you just make a sure you don't run any exe, vbr or ole (office macros & ActiceX & stuff like that) files, etc you'll be ok. However if you're on a LAN or have a cable/DSL connection one has to be a bit extra precautious.

I agree with all the above mentions of inoculateIT. Good Stuff..its free and works for me. They are always on top of the latest viruses. In case you are wondering, they make their money from big corporations. I guess they figure that if they can stop a virus from coming in from a home user to one of their customers....they are providing a better service.
