I think the joke here is fairly obvious, so I wont say it. I'm just glad somebody in corporate America is doing something nice for a change.
But I will!![]()

There's a new local water brand that sells purified water, and some of the marketing claims how environmental it is. It comes in a tetrapak. Hard to recycle, slow to break down, uses lots of chemical processes; Perfect! :^SI've always wanted to try water in a can...
They have done this several times before...
What exactly is a tetrapak? Google image search isn't being especially helpful here. There's a new local water brand that sells purified water, and some of the marketing claims how environmental it is. It comes in a tetrapak. I think a can would be great. It's the opposite of a tetrapak aside from the energy required to make aluminum. Never had pure water in a can though, only flavored seltzer. It might affect the flavor.

Huh, I didn't realize those had a special name. I just always filed them under "carton".https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetra_Pak
You see it on ultrapasteurized milk, coconut milk, and stuff like that. It looks more or less like an old school milk carton, but has high tech construction. It keeps stuff a long time, but it's hard to deal with when you're done due to the multiple materials used in construction
Their Bud Lite beer is pretty damn close.I've always wanted to try water in a can...
Anheuser-Bush has plenty of idle capacity since loosing market share to craft beer has idled some breweries. Other breweries such as Oskar Blues has suspended production to can water to send to Texas.Hats off to a company that is doing something to give back.

"
LONGMONT, CO – In immediate response to the recent flood devastation in Texas, Oskar Blues Brewery and Ball Corporation teamed up with the CAN’d Aid Foundation to can and ship 220,200 cans of clean drinking water to the residents of Houston, TX.
Oskar Blues Brewery halted beer canning on August 29th to fill cans of water. 88,800 cans of fresh, safe water will arrive Friday, September 1, and 131,400 additional cans are set to be filled and shipped over the weekend."

Still a lot better than flood water.
Bad for us in and off itself not really... It does however have a bad habit of leaching chemicals from whatever it is being it stored in.isn't pure water bad for us? leeches minerals etc from our bodies on top of tasting vile!
