It does not matter who you elect. It's going to be the same old shit. the machinery is in place to carry one like nothing happened. It's going to take a fundamental change before things get better, and neither D or R is willing to do it, too much power is involved. It's going to take an outside force.

/facepalm

And if Angle is the representation of half of Nevada I think I'll add it to the list of states to never move to. Thankfully I'm pretty sure she isn't.

And FYI Spidey, barring some unlikely surge by Barnett in the next week or two I'll be voting for dear old Frank Wolf (R) via absentee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Wolf IMO he's one of the few incumbents actually worth keeping around. I like Barnett's ideals, but he's too short on specifics and his site doesn't even cover some major issues (ie: illegal immigration). If he had a concrete plan to match his ideals, I'd vote Wolf out in a heartbeat. /digression

Haha... This guy

Wow, is there a lot of spin here.

Let's see a TEA Party candidate trashes the elite in the GOP; is that anything new, even remotely?

She tries to get the other candidate to drop his campaign by promising - what? - wait for it - a MEETING. A freakin meeting? That's it?
-------------------

They need to have lawyers and/or prosecuters looking in to this secret taping.

In my state (NC) you can secretly tape, but it has restrictions. The taped comments can be entered into the court record as rebuttal if the other party lies about what they said. So, it can be used to protect yourself. But you can't just tape and then run around publishing those contents for any 'ole purpose like he is doing.

Ashjian told MSNBC's "Hardball" he taped the meeting for what he called "self-protection" by concealing a recorder in his pocket.

I see he claims to have made the tapes for his protection. How is his use of these taped remarks being used for his "protection" now?

If anything I think this "secret tape" really helps her campaign. She's saying the same thing she says in public, the republicans aren't being the part of lower spending and taxes and she is.

This helps her, and the polls show it with her recent gain over Reid.

LOL at the perceived angst by the liberals here, Angle is just expressing what made her run to begin with. Nothing new and nothing different.

It is still a close race but the most comprehensive recent polling does show Angle with a slight lead. Look for Reid to go completely negative from now until the election.

Reid on the Ropes in Nevada

Republican Sharron Angle seems to be solidifying her support in her bid to unseat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada.

In the latest Fox News battleground state poll of likely voters, Angle drew 49 percent to Reid’s 46 percent. As voters make up their mind with four weeks to go until Election Day, Angle seems to have the edge.

In the first Fox battleground poll in the Silver State four weeks ago, 10 percent of respondents were either unsure, in favor of a minor party candidate or, as state law allows in Nevada, planning to vote for "none of these candidates."

In this week's poll, those three categories add up to 5 percent. Over the same period, Angle’s overall vote percentage went from 45 percent to 49 percent.

Democratic strategists hope to prevent an Angle win by driving up her unfavorable ratings and pushing voters to choose a minor party candidate or “none of these.” Angle was viewed unfavorable by 53 percent in the survey. But Reid was viewed unfavorably by 55 percent.

Angle's supporters are growing more certain of their support, too. Two weeks ago, 10 percent of Angle supporters said they could still change their minds. That number has dropped to 4 percent.

While Angle's lead is still within the poll’s 3-point margin of error, this is the first Fox battleground poll in Nevada to show a difference of more than 1 point.

The survey generally reflects a sharpening of opinion in Nevada. A strengthening among Democrats lifted Obama's job approval from 40 percent to 44 percent. Support for the Tea Party movement, meanwhile, rose from 25 percent to 30 percent.

The race remains a true tossup, though, because voters aren’t very happy with their choices. Fifty six percent of all voters said Reid had been in office too long and 53 percent said Angle’s views were "too extreme."

I'm taking the day off to take seniors to the polls. No longer are the working class going to be out voted by the suckers of the gubment tit.

Just to be clear, you are shuttling people on the government tit who aren't working to vote for the prevention of further tit sucking by aforementioned tit suckers.

Got it.

Yes. The tax paying Americans have had enough. Taxed Enough Already. No longer will they stand by and use the lame excuse "I had to work and earn my money" for not showing up at the polls. We are Strong. We are United. And we are HIGHLY MOTIVATED.

I doubt those bedridden seniors are paying much in taxes, so perhaps you should go to a working class neighborhood and offer the same service.

Besides in order to not be a total sell out, you would have to go and round up all of their electric scooters that they got for free by sucking the gubment tit, right?

She trashes the GOP elite and then promises to get meetings with them in the next breath because she has "juice".

Not sure how this is news. All those Tea Party folks are disgusted with the Republican establishment, as any fiscal conservative should be. Before they can take on the big-spending Democrat establishment, they first have to defeat the big-spending Republican establishment who hates them every bit as much as do the Dems.

If true conservatives got elected it would end GOP forever as 2/3 of Americans depend on Govt to eat. They also depend on generation of 3 trillion more debt annually to service 50 trillion in debt.

The GOP needs to be ended forever, just like the democratic party. They are nothing but a bunch of self serving, bottom feeders.

I'm actually glad he did nothing in the moment. Given his position and the nature of his interviewers it was a lose-lose. He answers, they creatively edit his responses or ask pointed questions that catch him in the moment. He refuses to answer, he may look a little obstinate but at least he maintains his integrity.

Case in point: that clip. Thankfully the surrounding article provides context the two interviewers conspicuously left out.
