The biggest sneak in the running ads for this odd looking film is this:

"by the director of Nightmare Before Christmas"

Now this right here, may be marketing genius, but its making an okay director into a genius director... why you may ask? The director of NBC was NOT Tim Burton. Henry Salick directed NBC, and Burton wrote and produced, hence why it says "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas" on the cover. Much like "Wes Craven's Dracula2000" which was simply produced by Craven and not directed, as I hoped.

The uninformed may just assume that MonkeyBone is directed by Burton thinking that Burton is cool because everyone seems to like the, will go see the movie, thinking it is his film. However, Burton had nothing at all to do with the movie. He didnt Direct, Write, or even use the can on the set of MB.

Now, comes more anger. It seems Dee Snyder, of Radio104's Morning Show in Hartford CT is giving away tickets to see MB. Thats fine, but he is announcing it as "Tim Burton's new film, Monkey Bone." This is gross information to anyone who listens to the show (which is a very large audience for those of you who dont live in Connecticut), causing the horrible falicity to continue to an even greater scale. I have emailed the morning show twice, and they still have not corrected their error, continuing to dub it as "Tim Burton's Movie".

sorry, but i hate it when people dont give the credit where it is due, and give credit when it isnt due.:|

Give credit where credit is due by first spelling the mans name right, its SELICK.

How is it a sneak when it really is by the director of NBC?
Is it because the common average viewer assumes that the director is Burton?

Henry Selick directed both, ok and? How is credit not being given?

The statement "From the director of Nightmare Before Christmas" is true and IS giving credit to the director of BOTH films, I dont see your argument at all.

If Henry had a problem with it, I'm sure he would have spoke up...

Dee Snyder? as in Dee Snyder the dress wearing, twisted sister, 80's rocker? I havent seen him since the classic, "Strangeland." That movie he releases a few years ago.

Sky: my argument is this, its a marketing trick to get people to go see the movie, simply because they think that its directed by burton.

BBD: I dont know about that, he may have thought about this and said "hey, my movie will be more successful if people think Burton directed... hmmm.. Sounds good to me, and its not a lie, people will just not know what is hitting them!"
