Man, I am really surprised there are no threads about Angels and Airwaves on here. There is such a huge buzz all over the internet about them. I heard at people talking about AVA 3 times at school today.
Basically, they are a new band made up from members of Blink 182, Offspring, Box Car Racer, and the Distillers. Tom Delonge from Blink 182 kept talking about how this would be one of the most influential bands of all time. Rolling Stone, AP, and several other magazines heard demos and had nothing but praises for them.
I didn't think too much of them, but I really liked Blink 182's later music and hoped it would be good. There was a huge amount of hype building up for months, and I didn't honestly think they could live up to. Well, I was definately wrong. My friend works for Macbeth and he got a cassette with 3 demo tracks on it and they were insane. I believe the songs were Good Day, The Adventure, and The War.
Shortly after that, Good Day and Adventure were leaked onto the internet and everyone went crazy over them. Good Day is great, but the Adventure is one of the best songs I have ever heard. Their site launched last month and it has a cool art design. I have to admit it is pretty slick.

The music just sounds so driving and uplifting. I can't really explain it, the closest band is really Box Car Racer or mature Blink 182. There is some U2 and Cure influence in there too though. It's a refreshing change to have inspiring music.
There are a lot of fakes out there because garage bands are trying to cash in on the publicity. I weeded through everything and got the DL links to all their songs.

Good Day Video

The Gift
It Hurts
A Little's Enough
Valkyrie Missle
These are the best quality clips you'll find. Some of them are live off the radio so they aren't complete. The CD isn't out till May 23.
