This might have been addressed in the past, so forgive me if I'm retreading similar ground. Android tablet, meh. Android phone awesome.
iOS phone, meh. IPad awesome.

Recently, I sold my iPad gen 1 in anticipation of buying the new one and filled the void with a touchpad loaded with cm9 and damn, if it just didn't fit the bill. Maybe this is just me but I just did not get it with an android tablet..

My 2 cents, no intent on slamming one platform..

I moved my Touchpad downstairs, so when I'm playing Blue Dragon and I want to make sure that a boss doesn't have a good steal-able item, I would use my TouchPad to check. I used to use my iPad for it, but I would sometimes forget to bring it down; however, I have to admit that I still prefer using my iPad to do it. I had an issue earlier today where CM9 refused to connect to my WiFi access point, and I had to turn it off and on a few times until it worked.

Although, I am still keeping in mind that CM9 is still an alpha, and I realize that any weird bugs can be a problem with that. I also would like to get Chrome to see if I prefer that as I don't like the default Android browser very much (note: I don't use Safari on iOS either).

So what your saying is that the iPad is a superior product?

...to a volunteer version of Android in Alpha 2 stage of a tablet that has been essentially abandoned by its corporate creator within a month of its release?

In my opinion both technologies are advanced and there is no comparison between them the main difference is that android is available in low budget and technology used in ipad is little costlier then android.

Just like phones it comes down to the apps you want to use.

In my experience the iPad has more tablet specific app support across the board, but that is changing over time (just like it did with phones).

I agree, it'll be a matter of time before Android Tablet overtakes iPad in marketshare and amount of quality for tablet interface, but for now iPad is a bit better.

Marketshare does not mean higher quality apps. Until Android shows that their users are willing to spend money on apps, developers aren't going to flock to that platform en masse.

No, it doesn't but when there are more marketshare for Android Tablets, Android devs will be more likely to add Tablet interface in their apps in order to encourage people to buy them.

The TouchPad was a joke to begin with. Modding it with CM9 makes it suck a little less, but its not even in the same league as even the first Tegra 2 HoneyComb tablets.
