Android Text messaging questions

I have a couple questions about the Android OS (not sure if it would change from phone to phone other wise) but I have a couple questions about its text messaging capabilities...since my current phone (the iPhone 3G) is lacking in that department.

1. How many contacts can you text in a "mass text message", I'm currently limited to 10 with the phone

2. How many attachments are you limited to in a said text message? I've gotten some text messages with over 10 photos in them and when I forward them to someone else using my iphone I can only send out 7 "attachments" or so from that message.

It's the same way, 10 people and 10 images in slideshow fashion. However I'm pretty sure using a messaging app like Handcent allows far more than that.

I haven't tried that, but its just far easier to forward an MMS then it is to email it...its not me doing this, its my friends I'm getting them from and well some of them aren't as technologically inclined as me or you. Not to mention its too much work

Not everyone's phone can send/receive emails effectively. I have a few friends with 'dumb' phones that have no email capabilities at all. MMS messages work better in that case. For my friends with Android devices or other smart phones, I just send them an email with the picture.

I use Handcent on my Droid, not sure what its limit to messages is, I've never hit it. The most I've sent at once though was 11.
