I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and I am using a OTG dongle that allows me to hook up a dongle that has a USB input for flash drives.

On the web their is something about the newest Android versions lowering the usb port power. I am using Android 4.2.2 which the tablet says is the newest version.

I have managed to find an older 8 gb sandisk cruzer that works but the rest of my drives don't.

Cliffs
So, I am looking for a 'low power' usb flash drive of either 16 or 32 gb that are low power. Can someone either recommend some or tell me how to tell which flash drives are "low power".
Thanks

Hmm, I have 4.4 Nexus 5, and I've been able to use all my USB drives, I'm pretty sure all the usb drives has to conform to 500mA (usb standard).

Seems like Samsung might be dropping it below spec? What other drives have you used?

Sandisk and Micron and PNY.

Seems like any drive over 16 has a problem.

Sandisk and Micron and PNY.

Seems like any drive over 16 has a problem.

I have a Patriot 32GB (USB 3.0) drive that works perfectly with my Nexus 5 as well as most 8GB drives that I have, including Sandisk Cruzer and random PNY drives

I have narrowed it down to the USB dongle. I ordered another one and will see if that fixes the problem.
